(877) 880-4090Derek W. Freeman is an aggressive litigator with many years’ experience advocating for the rights of individuals with life-altering injuries.
Before joining the team Fielding Law, Mr. Freeman practiced in the areas of disability law, bankruptcy, family law and criminal defense. This experience allowed him to develop the skills necessary to effectively argue a case in front of a judge and jury, question and cross examine witnesses, and draft all manner of pleadings. The experience also instilled a passion for representing those who find themselves in a difficult situation through no fault of their own.
Mr. Freeman studied law at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he participated in the international law moot court team and earned honors as an editor for the Colorado Law Review. Before law school, he studied international studies with a focus on east Asia, earning both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree. While in college, he traveled across Asia and interned at a company in South Korea, where he taught English as an instructor and appeared as a regular guest on a radio talk show. Mr. Freeman has been a teacher at both the high school and college level. His education has provided him the skills and aptitude to see a problem from all angles, identify key issues, and find creative solutions.
